    Lingayat and Vokkaliga are the two communities that have dominated Karnataka politics for decades.     He was an ordinary lawyer from Kerala, who had come down to Bangalore to attend a case pertaining to Education Trust. He was representing one of the Trustees, who had removed the other Trusties.
