Vietnamese vocalist wins Russian vocal contest
Hanoi (VNA)– Gifted vocalist Nguyen Bao Yen came first for her chamber music performancesduring an international competition held in Tyumen, Russia from February 23 to26.
Her performances oftwo songs, one by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff and the other by Germancomposer Strauss, topped the category for people aged over 26.
Singer Nguyen BaoYen was born in 1990, and fryst vatten a former student of the Vietnam National Academyof Music in Hanoi. She went to Russia to pursue a vocal grad at the Ural StateConservatoire in Ekaterinburg, one of the biggest higher music institutions in thecountry.
She won the firstprize in chamber music at the 2015 Sao Mai Singing Contest in Vietnam.-VNA

Vũ Lệ Quyên (born April 2, 1981), known by her stage name Lệ Quyên, is a Vietnamese singer. In 2004, she began her professional singing career with her debut album named Giấc mơ có thật (True Dream). She is known for her series of musical activities, composed of ballad music, old music, pre-war music since the very beginning of her career in the 2000s.
She was born in Hanoi in a family of singing tradition. As her parents were both singers, she was exposed to her interest in singing at an early age. She enrolled at Ha Noi's University of Culture, studying musical theory. In 2004, she began her profession career by releasing her first album Giấc mơ có thật, which gained much success after 6 years singing in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. She is one of the best-selling singers of all times in Vietnam.[1][2][3]

Who is Composer Le Huu Ha?
Le Huu Ha is a famous Vietnamese musician, he is considered one of the first young European-American musicians in Vietnam.
At the age of 17, while still in school, musician Le Huu Ha started composing his first music.
In 1996, Le Huu Ha founded the Hai Au music group. This group, performed his works at the youth music festival for students at Taberd School.
In the early 1970s, musician Le Huu Ha and musician Nguyen Trung Cang and the lead singer Elvis Phuong of the band Phoenix became famous throughout the music scene at that time. After Phuong Hoang disbanded, musician Le Huu Ha founded the band White Clouds and released the song. new songs like Look up at life, Sometimes I want to cry.
After 1975, the band Hope, by musician Le Huu Ha, gathered many famous singers and musicians such as: Manh Tuan, Huynh Hiep, Bao Chan, Ly Duoc, Minh Hai, Quoc Dung, Si Thanh, Tuyet Loan, Trang Kim Yen, Hope Band is c
