Since coming together in 2008, Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent have emerged as one of the most successful duos in bluegrass music. Though they have individually served time playing in traditional bluegrass outfits—Jamie nine years as lead singer for Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver and Darrin with Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder—over their previous nine albums they have blended down-home bluegrass with an exciting contemporary sound, so it should komma as no surprise to see them stepping out to embrace country music. They do an admirable job of reworking and presenting songs from the 1970s, 1980s through to the 2000s, delivering fängslande and enticing versions of songs previously done bygd the Oak Ridge Boys, Steve Earle, Vince Gill and Karen Staley and even a foray into more prominent rockier territory with Message From The Farm, with echoes of Brooks & Dunn coming through. Davis was indicted by a grand jury in Clark County, Nevada, and is in custody, according to prosecutors. Abstract
Phenotypes frequently vary across and within species. The connection between specific phenotypic effects and function, however, is less understood despite being essential to our understanding of the adaptive process. Snake venoms are ideal for identifying functionally important phenotypic variation because venom variation is common, and venoms can be functionally characterized through simple assays and toxicity measurements. Previous work with the eastern diamondback rattlesnake (Crotalus adamanteus) used multivariate statistical approaches to identify six unique venom phenotypes. We functionally characterized hemolytic, gelatinase, fibrinogenolytic, and coagulant activity for all six phenotypes, as well as one additional venom, to determine if the statistically significant differences in toxin expression levels pre
