  • Marilou Bourdon is a Quebecoise/Canadian popular singer. She was born on September 20, 1990 in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
    Marilou developed interest in the musical world starting at the age of eight when she started dance, music and theater courses. Her first show was made in several of several hundreds of spectators at an annual concert show. She was first discovered in 2001, when she sang a duet with Natasha St-Pier in a Quebec show called Stars à domicile.

    Her career started in 2002 when she had her first single Je serai la pour toi in a duo with Canadian Gino Quilico who is the french version of the cover There For Me singing in the original version by Sarah Brightman in duet with José Cura and signed with the Sony label in 2004 before going on a tour opening for Garou.

    Bourdon was born on September 20, 1990. At age 8 she began singing for friends and relatives and bygd age 10 was already a local success. Her first appearance was at an annual concert show. She was discovered in 2001, when she sang a duett with Natasha St-Pier in a Quebec show called Stars à domicile. She started recording by singing children's songs for TV shows and movies. This led to a feature appearance at age 12 on one of French Canada's biggest TV shows, La Fureur, where she paid homage to her idol, Celine Dion, as part of a two-hour special that reached 3 million viewers. She sang Dion's first hit song, "Ce n’était qu’un rêve", to positiv reviews.[1]

    Ihren ersten Erfolg markierte das Lied „Tu es comme ça“, das sie im Duett mit dem ebenfalls aus Québec stammenden Sänger Garou veröffentlichte und das im Sommer 2005 Platz 10 der französischen Single-Charts erreichte. Die Veröffentlichung war der Vorläufer des Albums „La fille qui chante“, auf welchem die meisten Lieder in Zusammenarbeit mit Jacques Vénéruso entstanden, der bereits für Céline Dion, Garou und Michel Sardou tätig war. Mit ihrem zweiten Album „Marilou“, das im Sommer 2007 erschien, konnte sie nicht an die früheren Erfolge anknüpfen.
