    Cisco names Dinesh Malkani new India sales head

    KOLKATA: Dinesh Malkani has been named as the sales head of US networks gear maker Cisco's India unit, and will effectively head the company's operations in the country, the company said Friday.

    Malkani, who is the vice president (sales) for Cisco India & Saarc, replaces Jeff White, Cisco Systems' outgoing president, India & Saarc.

    The company, however, did not reply to ET’s query on whether White had quit Cisco Systems. Two people familiar with matters said he may “relocate to Cisco US to be closer to his family,” although the company declined to confirm this. While couldn't be reached for comment.
