Etsuko Hirose is a laureate of many international competitions including the Frederic Chopin Competition for young pianists (Moscow), Viotti Competition (Italy) and the ARD Competition in Munich. Etsuko won first prize in the Martha Argerich Competition in 1999.
1999, Etsuko graduated the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris as the top student. Etsuko has performed in many countries and also been invited to appear at many festivals.
Etsuko has performed with many orchestras including Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Argentina, Orchestra Nazionale della RAI(Torino), Sinfonia Varsovia, Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic etc.
