1. Introduction
In , Flemming reported the first morphological description of the natural process of cell death. This process is now known as apoptosis, a name that was chosen by Kerr [1] to describe the unique morphology associated with this type of cellular death, which is different from necrosis. After the initial description of apoptosis, it was recognized that this process occurs in all tissues as part of the normal cellular turnover. Apoptos

Abstract
Background
Neospora caninum is a cyst-forming, coccidian parasite which is known to cause neurological disorders in dogs and abortion and neonatal mortality in cows and other livestock. This study reports the development of a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay based on the Neospora caninum Nc-5 gene and compares its efficacy for detecting DNA to that of a semi-nested PCR test.
Results
Six primers were designed based on the Nc-5 repeat region of N. caninum. Specific LAMP primers led to successful amplification of N. caninum DNA at 63 °C in 30 min. The LAMP assay was highly specific (i.e. it did not reveal cross-reactivity with other parasite species) and had a low N. caninum plasmi

Immunisation with Neospora caninum subunits rsNcSAG4 and rsNcGRA1 (NcSAG4 and NcGRA1 epitopes construct) in BALB/c mice: the profile of the immune response and controlling the vertical transmission
Introduction
Neospora caninum fryst vatten an intracellular heteroxenous protozoan that infects many djur hosts. In cattle, it is a significant cause of abortions and stillbirth (Nayeri et al. ). Worldwide economic losses associated with neosporosis in the cattle industry exceeded billion USD per year, with a higher impact on dairy boskap (Reichel et al. ). Cows of any gestational period may abort, but most abortions occur between the fourth and sixth month of gestation (Yániz et al. ). During pregnancy, calves acquire the parasite bygd vertical transmission as the main rutt of infection in the exogenous and endogenous cycle (McAllister ). Currently, the control of neosporosis in cattle includes biosecurity strategies such as test-and-culling of seropositive boskap, reproductive management
